SONGWRITING

Iron Mountain

By: Laura Alford

There’s a treasure in that vault
That you’re afraid to share.
Rock hard, mile thick walls
Just show how much you care.

You’re an iron mountain
The original man of steel
You never let them see you hurt
Or know just how you feel

You’re an iron mountain
Unmoved by dynamite
You’re an iron mountain
Casting shadows tall and lonesome
Standing in the light.

You don’t need a dragon
To chase fools like me away.
I set up camp, laid siege, and starved
Finally packed it in today.

Cause you’re an iron mountain
The original man of steel
You never let them see you hurt
Or know just how you feel

You’re an iron mountain
Unmoved by dynamite
You’re an iron mountain
Frozen tall and lonesome
Standing in the night.
